Unto the hills (Thys Endrys Night)

Lyrics

Unto the hills I lift my eyes;
From whence shall help arise?
My help comes from the Lord alone,
Maker of earth and skies.

He shall not let your foot be moved,
He watches His beloved.
Behold, He guards His chosen ones,
In sleep they are un-moved.

The Lord’s your keeper, night and day;
At your right hand, come what may;
Not sun, nor moon, will cause you harm:
The Lord’s your Rock and Stay.

He shall preserve from evils sore,
He’ll save you o’er and o’er.
Your going out, your coming in,
From now and evermore.

Behold My Son, My Servant – Lyrics

1. “Behold, My Son, My Servant,
In Whom My soul delights;
My Spirit is upon Him;
He shall do what is right.
A bruised reed He will not break,
Nor quench a smoking flax;
For truth He brings forth justice
By all His gracious acts.”

2. Thus says the Lord Almighty,
Maker of heav’n and earth,
Creator of all people,
The One Who gives them breath:
“In righteousness I called You,
And I will hold Your hand;
I give You, as a cov’nant,
A light to ev’ry land.”

3. “Behold, My Son, My Servant,
In Whom My soul delights;
For those who sit in darkness
He has become their light.
And new things I shall declare:
His foes shall Christ assail
With zeal like a man of war;
Against them He’ll prevail.”

Arise and sing a joyful song – Lyrics

Published with Permission of the author: Rev. Brian L. Penney

1. Arise and sing a joyful song,
All you who dwell on earth;
Let ev’ry heart and ev’ry tongue
Proclaim the Savior’s birth.

2. Behold the Son was virgin-born,
By God’s mysterious pow’r;
Into this world, by sin destroyed,
He came at life’s dark hour.

3. The Light of life, incarnate Word,
The prophets did record;
Took on Himself the form of man,
That man might be restored.

4. In sacrificial love He came
And for our fallen race;
Upon Himself He took God’s wrath,
In death He took our place.

5. Now with the angels praise the One
Who bore our sins away;
With love, and joy, and gratitude,
Hail Him this Christmas day.
