John Brownlow Geyer (b. 1932)
John Brownlow Geyer was an English Congregationalist Minister, born in Wakefield, Yorkshire, England. He read Theology at Queens’ College, Cambridge (BA 1956), and trained for the Congregational ministry at Mansfield College, Oxford (1956-59), spending some of that time in Heidelberg. He was appointed minister of the Congregational Church, St Andrews, Fife, and chaplain to the Congregational Students at the University of St Andrews (1959-63).
He was was a tutor at Cambridge in 1967 when he wrote the text of “We Know That Christ Is Raised”
