J. Rosamund Johnson (1873-1954)

J. Rosamund Johnson (1873-1954) was and American composer and singer, born in Jackson Florida and was trained at the New England Conservatory before undertaking further studies in London, England. His elder brother was James Weldon Johnson (1871-1938) with whom his collaborated. Including the hymn Lift Every Voice And Sing which became known as Negro National Anthem.
