Bernard Hill (b. 1947)

Bernard Hill was born in 1947. He went to Oxford University and was a maths teacher. He gave up teaching in the 1980s to set up Braeburn Software, which produced ‘Music Publisher’ a professional musical notation and compositional software package for which he wrote the code. Sadly, it is no longer available: he sold the business when he retired in 2014, and the company that bought it has ceased trading.

He was the organist at St John’s Selkirk from the mid-1980s until 2016, and a member of the Ministry Leadership Team from 2008 to 2018. He still lives in Selkirk with his wife Christine, and they are still members at St John’s.
