Frances Whitmarsh Wile (1878-1939)

Mrs Frances Whitmarsh Wile (1878-1939) was an American hymnist born in Bristol Valley, New York. She married A.J. Wile in 1901.

In her lat­er years, she lived in Ro­ches­ter, New York, where she helped found the Wo­men’s Ci­ty Club and where whilst a parishioner of Rev. William C. Gannett she wrote her famous winter hymn “All Beautiful March Of Days” which was first published in 1911 in Gannett and Hosmer’s revised edition of Unity Hymns and Chorals.
