John Calvin (1509-1564)

John Calvin (1509-1564) (also known as Jean Calvin) was a French was a French theologian, pastor and reformer during the Protestant Reformation. He was born Jehan Cauvin in Noyon, a town in Picardy, a province of the Kingdom of France.

He was a principal figure in the development of the system of Christian theology later called Calvinism have spread throughout the world via Congregational, Reformed and Presbyterian churches.
