I Knew My Lord Jesus Lyrics
A Hymn For St Andrew’s Day, Dedicated to the Church of St Andrew, Ogbourne St Andrew, Wiltshire.
I knew my Lord Jesus in lands so far away,
In the land of the Jordan and David’s bright throne.
The Lord, he sent me to bring you the good news,
To heal and forgive, wherever I roam.
I know my Lord Jesus and walk with him daily,
Through the fields and the forest, a long way from home.
My Lord, he’s with me, as I speak of his love;
In God’s grace on earth, I’m never alone.
So meet my Lord Jesus and walk with him gladly,
And bring blessings and peace ever into your home,
Our Lord, he’s with us, our friend and redeemer,
So smile now and laugh, we’re never alone.
