Timothy Dudley-Smith (b. 1926)

Timothy Dudley-Smith (b. 1926) is an English hymnwriter and Anglican Cleric who served as Bishop of Thetford 1981 – 1992. He was also president of the Evangelical Alliance 1987 – 1992. He is a member and honorary vice-president of the Hymn Society of Great Britain and Ireland and a fellow of The Hymn Society in the United States and Canada. He was awarded an OBE in 2003 for his services to hymnody.
