Lewis Hensley (1824 – 1905)

Canon Lewis Hensley (1824 – 1905) M.A (Camb) was an English Anglican Clergyman. He was educated at Trin­i­ty Coll­ege, Cam­bridge where he grad­u­at­ed in 1846 as Sen­ior Wrang­ler and first Smith’s Prize­man. From 1846-52, he was a Fellow and Assistant Tutor at Trin­i­ty. He took Ho­ly Or­ders in 1851, and served as Cur­ate at Up­ton-with-Cla­vey, Buckinghamshire. Later he became Vi­car of Ip­o­lyts-with-Great-Wy­mond­ly, Hert­ford­shire and then Vi­car and Rur­al Dean in Hitc­hin, Hert­ford­shire.
