Lewis Hensley (1824 – 1905)
Canon Lewis Hensley (1824 – 1905) M.A (Camb) was an English Anglican Clergyman. He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge where he graduated in 1846 as Senior Wrangler and first Smith’s Prizeman. From 1846-52, he was a Fellow and Assistant Tutor at Trinity. He took Holy Orders in 1851, and served as Curate at Upton-with-Clavey, Buckinghamshire. Later he became Vicar of Ipolyts-with-Great-Wymondly, Hertfordshire and then Vicar and Rural Dean in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
