Lachlan Macbean (1853-1931)

Lachlan Macbean (1853-1931) was a Scottish collector of Gaelic Songs and Gaelic language enthusiast. He was born at Tigh-na-coille Kiltarlity, Invernessshire, Scotland and died at Kirkcaldy, in the Kingdom of Fife, Scotland where he had been editor of The Fifeshire Advertiser. He was actively involved in resurrecting almost forgotten Gaelic songs. His works include:
