Lachlan Macbean (1853-1931)

Lach­lan Mac­bean (1853-1931) was a Scottish collector of Gaelic Songs and Gaelic language enthusiast. He was born at Tigh-na-coille Kil­tar­li­ty, In­ver­ness­shire, Scot­land and died at Kirk­cal­dy, in the Kingdom of Fife, Scot­land where he had been ed­itor of The Fife­shire Ad­ver­tis­er. He was ac­tive­ly in­volved in res­ur­rect­ing al­most for­got­ten Gael­ic songs. His works in­clude:
