Jeremiah Clarke (1670-1707) was an English organist and composer. Clarke was a pupil of John Blow at St Paul’s Cathedral and a chorister in 1685 at the Chapel Royal. From 1692 to 1695 he was an organist at Winchester College, and later in 1699 was an organist at St Paul’s Cathedral.
From 1704 until his death by suicide, he was appointed an organist and ‘Gentleman extraordinary’ at the Chapel Royal, a position he shared with William Croft (1678 – 1727).
