Edward William Elgar (1857-1934)

Sir Edward William Elgar (1857-1934) was an English Composer born in the village of Lower Broadheath, outside Worcester, England.

He was baptised and brought up as a Roman Catholic, which despite his brilliance as a musician and international reputation, often held his musical career back, because of prejudice.
