As With Gladness Men Of Old Lyrics
1. As with gladness men of old
Did the guiding star behold;
As with joy they hailed its light,
Leading onward, beaming bright,
So, most gracious Lord, may we
Evermore be led by Thee!
2. As with joyful steps they sped,
Saviour, to Thy lowly bed,
There to bend the knee before
Thee whom heaven and earth ...
Brightest And Best Lyrics
Brightest and best of the sons of the morning,
Dawn on our darkness and lend us Thine aid;
Star of the East, the horizon adorning,
Guide where our infant Redeemer is laid.
Cold on His cradle the dewdrops are shining;
Low lies His head with the beasts of the stall;
Angels adore Him in slumber reclining,
Maker and ...

Earth Has Many A Noble City Lyrics
1. Earth has many a noble city;
Bethlehem, thou dost all excel;
Out of thee the Lord from Heaven
Came to rule His Israel.
2. Fairer than the sun at morning
Was the star that told His birth,
To the world its God announcing
Seen in fleshly form on earth.
3. Eastern sages at His cradle

Carol – Go tell it on the mountains – Lyrics
Go, tell it on the mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere,
Go, tell it on the mountain that
Jesus Christ is born.
While shepherds kept their watching
O’er wandering flocks by night,
Behold, from out of heaven,
There shone a holy light. Refrain
And lo, when they had seen it,
They all bowed down and prayed;

Good King Wenceslas looked out
On the feast of Stephen,
When the snow lay round about,
Deep, and crisp, and even.
Brightly shone the moon that night,
Though the frost was cruel,
When a poor man came in sight,
Gath’ring winter fuel.
“Hither, page, and stand by me,
If thou know’st it, telling,
Yonder peasant, who is he?
Where and what his dwelling?”
“Sire, he lives a ...

Lyrics
Jesus, good above all other,
Gentle Child of gentle mother,
In a stable born our Brother,
Give us grace to persevere.
Jesus, cradled in a manger,
For us facing every danger,
Living as a homeless Stranger,
Make we Thee our King most dear.
Jesus, for Thy people dying,
Risen Master, death defying,
Lord in Heav’n, Thy grace supplying,
Keep us by Thine altar near.
Jesus, Who our ...
Carol – Little Jesus, sweetly sleep – Lyrics
Little Jesus, sweetly sleep, do not stir
We will lend a coat of fur
We will rock you, rock you, rock you
We will rock you, rock you, rock you
See the fur to keep you warm
Snugly round your tiny form.
Mary’s little baby, sleep, sweetly sleep
Sleep in comfort, slumber deep
We will rock ...

Lully, lulla, thou little tiny child,
By by, lully, lillay.
O sisters too,
How may we do
For to preserve this day
This poor youngling,
For whom we do sing,
By by, lully lullay?
Lully, lulla, thou little tiny child,
By by, lully, lillay.

In his raging,
Charged he hath this day
His men of might,
In his own sight,
All young children to slay.

O Little Town Of Bethlehem Lyrics
O little town of Bethlehem,
How still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by.
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
The everlasting Light;
The hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonight.
For Christ is born of Mary;
And gathered all above,
While mortals sleep, the angels keep

What Child Is This Lyrics
What Child is this who, laid to rest
On Mary’s lap is sleeping?
Whom Angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and Angels sing;
Haste, haste, to bring Him laud,
The Babe, the Son of Mary.

Ye Holy Angels Bright Lyrics
1. Ye holy angels bright,
Who stand at God’s right hand,
Or through the realms of light
Fly at you Lord’s command,
Assist our song, or else the theme
Too high doth seem for mortal tongue.
2. Ye blessèd souls at rest,
Who ran this heavenly race,
An now, from sin released,
Behold the Saviour’s face,
God’s praises sound, as ...
O praise ye the Lord! praise Him in the height; Rejoice in His Word, ye angels of light; Ye heavens, adore Him by Whom ye were made, And worship before Him in brightness arrayed.
O praise ye the Lord! Praise Him upon earth, In tuneful accord, ye sons of new birth; Praise Him Who hath brought you His grace from above, Praise Him Who hath taught you to sing of His love.
O praise ye the Lord! All things that give sound; Each jubilant chord re-echo around; Loud organs, His glory forth tell in deep tone, And sweet harp, the story of what He hath done.
O praise ye the Lord! Thanksgiving and song To Him be outpoured all ages along! For love in creation, for Heaven restored, For grace of salvation, O praise ye the Lord!
1. Ye holy angels bright, Who stand at God’s right hand, Or through the realms of light Fly at you Lord’s command, Assist our song, or else the theme Too high doth seem for mortal tongue.
2. Ye blessèd souls at rest, Who ran this heavenly race, An now, from sin released, Behold the Saviour’s face, God’s praises sound, as in His sight With sweet delight you do abound.
3. Ye saints, who toil below, Adore your heavenly King, And onward as ye go Some joyful anthem sing; Take what He gives and praise Him still, Through good or ill, Who ever lives!
4. My soul, bear thou thy part, Triumph in God above, And with a well-tuned heart Sing thou the songs of love; Let all my days till life shall end, Whate’er he send be filled with praise.
What Child is this who, laid to rest On Mary’s lap is sleeping? Whom Angels greet with anthems sweet, While shepherds watch are keeping? This, this is Christ the King, Whom shepherds guard and Angels sing; Haste, haste, to bring Him laud, The Babe, the Son of Mary.
Why lies He in such mean estate, Where ox and ass are feeding? Good Christians, fear, for sinners here The silent Word is pleading. Nails, spear shall pierce Him through, The cross be borne for me, for you. Hail, hail the Word made flesh, The Babe, the Son of Mary.
So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh, Come peasant, king to own Him; The King of kings salvation brings, Let loving hearts enthrone Him. Raise, raise a song on high, The virgin sings her lullaby. Joy, joy for Christ is born, The Babe, the Son of Mary

2. At His Word the worlds were framèd; He commanded; it was done: Heaven and earth and depths of ocean In their threefold order one; All that grows beneath the shining Of the moon and burning sun, Evermore and evermore!
3. Oh, that birth forever blessed, When the Virgin, full of grace, By the Holy Ghost conceiving, Bare the Saviour of our race, And the Babe, the world’s Redeemer, First revealed His sacred face Evermore and evermore.

O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Bow down before him, his glory proclaim; with gold of obedience, and incense of lowliness, kneel and adore him: the Lord is his Name!
Low at his feet lay thy burden of carefulness, high on his heart he will bear it for thee, and comfort thy sorrows, and answer thy prayerfulness, guiding thy steps as may best for thee be.
Fear not to enter his courts in the slenderness of the poor wealth thou wouldst reckon as thine; for truth in its beauty, and love in its tenderness, these are the offerings to lay on his shrine.
These, though we bring them in trembling and fearfulness, he will accept for the Name that is dear; mornings of joy give for evenings of tearfulness, trust for our trembling and hope for our fear.
O little town of Bethlehem, How still we see thee lie! Above thy deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by. Yet in thy dark streets shineth The everlasting Light; The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight.
For Christ is born of Mary; And gathered all above, While mortals sleep, the angels keep Their watch of wondering love. O morning stars, together Proclaim the holy birth, And praises sing to God the King, And Peace to men on earth.
How silently, how silently, The wondrous gift is given! So God imparts to human hearts The blessings of His heaven. No ear may his His coming; But in this world of sin, Where meek souls will receive him still, The dear Christ enters in.
O holy Child of Bethlehem, Descend to us, we pray; Cast out our sin and enter in, Be born to us today. We hear the Christmas angels The great glad tidings tell: O come to us, abide with us, Our Lord Emmanuel.
