Apprentice to Master : Introduction
Apprentice to Master is a complete collection of the surviving Preludes and Fugues for Organ written by Johann Sebastian Bach (1695-1750) from the time he worked as a church organist in his native north Germany. It is performed and recorded by Richard Irwin, the founder of Hymns Without Words.
Bach famously believed, music should be used to glorify God and uplift the soul and Richard has dedicated the album both to King Charles III on the occasion of his coronation and to those battling incurable cancer, with the hope that the beauty and power of Bach’s music might bring comfort, peace, and spiritual refreshment to all who listen to it. £2.50 will be donated to Cancer Research for each CD set sold. You can buy a copy here and it can be posted to anywhere in the world.
